This Week in Earth Science: September 7-11

• No school on Monday. Have a great Labor Day. If you have been laboring all summer take time to relax.
• School begins on Tuesday and I'm excited to begin working with a new group of students. On the first day in class, time will be spent learning seats, names, guidelines and other course info. A short video will be shown entitled "Why Earth Science?"
• On Wednesday students and teacher will learn more about one another with a "Letter of Introduction." I will read my letter to the class and students will spend some time writing me a letter, which is the first official assignment in Earth Science of the school year.
Thursday will feature an overview of the Earth Science course complete with music video to watch, a syllabus to read, and a challenge quiz to take. Thursday is also "Picture Day" at BCHS. Be sure to look nice!
Friday is an Early Release Day for Teacher Professional Development. Students will be excused at 12:30 pm. In class students will begin keeping a daily warm-up sheet that will be due in ten class days and a homework assignment due on Monday will be given (Astronomy I Vocab).
