• Each day this week will begin by listening to Bob Moler's Ephemeris Astronomy Radio Program and recording the data on the record sheet.
• On Monday the Astronomy Vocab is due. The Scientific Method will be reviewed and students will be asked to make hypotheses for several scientific demonstrations.
• The connection between time zones and astronomy will be discussed on Tuesday. Students will begin a "Michigan Map Search" classroom assignment to become familiar with many Earth Science related locations around the state.
• Wednesday will feature a latitude demonstration as well as a Scientific Method Quiz. Students should have time to finish the Michigan Map Search.
• A Michigan Map Slide Show will be shown on Thursday to help prepare students for the quiz tomorrow.
• The Michigan Map Quiz takes place on Friday. The Sun Clock Project will be explained and is due on Wed. Oct. 14th. Students will also learn about William Burt's Solar Compass and might be able to apply some of his ingenuity to their Sun Clock design.
