• On Monday students will read the scientific essay "Odyssey of Atom X" by Aldo Leopold in class and develop a flow chart that reveals the journey of Atom X.
• Tuesday's activity will be the Iron Ore Concentration challenge. Students will try to reason out the steps for the iron ore to steel process. "Buried Treasure Questions" will be assigned for homework.
• The "Buried Treasure Questions" are due at the beginning of class on Wednesday. Mackinac Bridge demonstrations, video clips, overheads, slides and bridge diagram will be presented in class.
• Students will be panning for gold in class on Thursday and searching for the elusive yellow flake as well as other more common minerals.
• Come to class Friday and learn about spelunkers and speleothems. A Speleothem Lab will be the main activity and an article "Michigan's Longest Cave" will be assigned for homework.
• The Geology Unit Test is coming up on Thursday March 12th, be prepared!
• Hopefully everyone has started their Halite Crystal Projects. These are due on Friday March 20th. See Mr. K if you need more record sheets or have any questions.
