• Each day this week will begin by listening to McDonald Observatory's StarDate Astronomy Radio Program and recording the data on a record sheet.
• Monday will be a video day featuring the DVD "Atlas of the Sky." Students will record five facts from the film to be graded (+5).
• On Tuesday students will take notes about the scientific models of the Solar System. Students will also spend time making a blueprint for their sun clock project (+10).
• Kepler's Laws of planetary motion will be featured on Wednesday. Students will work a "Draw an Ellipse" Lab in class (+10). Wednesday is also Positive Attendance Day.
• Thursday student will learn the possible steps of the formation of our Solar System in an activity called "Solar System Formation Concentration" (+5). A short video clip about this topic will be shown as well.
• A Solar System Formation Quiz (+10) will be given on Friday, and students will learn about the search for extra terrestrial intelligence (SETI) and the Drake equation.
